January 10: Exhausted

Apparently, keeping the barn area free of all things rodent related is hard and exhausting work for one cat. He could barely keep his eyes open long enough to eat.  Poor kid.

January 8: Yet another project

I really want to give myself a big kick in the pants this year when it comes to my photography. So, I'm participating in the weekly challenge hosted by Lens Pro to Go.  A great company that rents camera equipment. After reviewing the images of my fellow participants in this week's challenge over at Flickr, I'm skeered.

Here's my take on week one's challenge:  A self-portrait without you in it.

I chose to "borrow" the collage idea that many others used. It's not going to win any awards but it is done! LOL!

Barn Buddy: January 3rd

Simba is sure to be a frequent subject of these daily photos.  He's one of my favorite parts of the day.

I used the Instagram app from Apple to create the effect.  The photo was less than perfect so I decided to try enhancing it. I've loved what I've seen others do with this tool, so I thoguht I'd give it a try.

Dare I try yet again?

I so want to do this each january 1st for the last several years. And I start off, sometimes with more steam in some years than others.  Yet, it quickly falls by the way side.  Part of the problem is my desire to share only stellar images with fascinating subjects. I'm my own worse critic, so I find myself falling short of this very lofty goal more often than not.

Still, the desire is strong and I think I'll give in to it.  Here's the inaugural photo for 2012:
