Prayer Table
On Wednesday evenings, I teach religious education at my parish church. My class this year is a combination of 5th and 6th graders. I started this 3 years ago when there was no catechist available for the time/date I had chose for my son to attend the weekly class. I guess you could say that I got "volunteered" :)
There are many days I wonder what on earth I'm doing in that classroom! Who am *I* to be "teaching" these kids? The good news is that there are some evenings where I look back on the hour and think to myself "we did good tonight!" Tonight was one of those nights. Almost every one of the 17 kids in class was engaged at least at some point during the class. No mean feat! I meant to take a photo of them working on one of the fun papers I found for us to work on as we learned about Lent. Instead, I got so caught up in "teaching" and interacting with them, that the hour was gone and they were out the door.
So, I took a photo of the prayer table in classroom. Next week, gotta really try to get that picture that was in my mind's eye.
