This is my first layout of the horses. And soon, Baby will be the "old" baby when Missy arrive in less than 2 weeks now!
I think this is going to be our 4x8 Christmas card this year. I have folding cards from MPIX in similar colors. Hope to get them photographed and uploaded later this week.
I'm "taking" an online digi-scrapping course. It's called Type+Writer and is presented over at www.jessicasprague.com. This is the 2nd layout to come out of the course. I am so pleased with the results.
This is one of my favorite photos ever, of my daughter. It's from last summer just after I purchased my 50mm 1.8 lens. I asked her to pose for me and she cooperated for a change! So, doing a layout was especially difficult because I freeze when it comes to making the perfect layout to go with the perfect photo. I think I came pretty close this time though. {CREDITS}: Jen Wilson's Dreamy Purple paper pack (purple paper strip; purple swirls); Jen Wilson's Linen Closet (flowers & green ribbon); Ronna Penner (grunge overlay); Rhonna Farrer/Designing with Digital (Cabaret Leaves brush); Jessica Sprauge (Grunge overlay mask frame on photo); Letter Delights Mother Typerwriter (YOU); 2Peas Champagne (amaze me)
I've been trying to get into the swing of doing some layouts about *me* for a change. Tough thing for this mom to do. So, I'm working on those things that I love...besides my kids and husband. I started with my car. Credits: Squares are from Jen Wilson's Lemon Zest paper pack, fonts are Century, Vladimir Script and CBX-Labelmaker.
Journaling reads: "Oh the joy of a dream come true! It’s the absolute best feeling. Who woulda thunk it? I know I sure didn’t! She’s a beauty, ain’t she? I’ve been a muscle car fan for a very long time. Thanks in no small part to a teenage sweetheart. I loved him, so I came to love what he loved. My current love, also known as “hubby,” was a bit surprised by my knowledge and passion for all things muscle car. I don’t really know what I’m talking about most of the time, but I know what I like. It’s *so* totally impractical. So, totally not what this mom of two should be driving around on a regular basis. But this little cream puff appeared as if by magic on a car dealer’s website at just the right time in September 2003. My husband was feeling a little weak. He didn’t even realize that he had given me the go ahead. Before he knew it, it was a done deal and he was left shaking his head. The man made me walk in the rain for 45 minutes trying to get me to buy just about ANYTHING else! In the end, he simply wanted me to be happy and this really made me happy. It’s been 2.5 years since we drove her off the lot. I’m still as tickled with her today as I was then."
This is my layout for the "Wednesday Use My Jen Wilson Stash" request from Keela. Everything but the staple is from JW's Jack Frost kit. The staples are from Michele Underwood. Fonts are Perpetua and LDJ Mother's Typewriter.
